General Terms and Conditions – Methodologie & Onderzoek

1. Definitions
Methodologie & Onderzoek (“Provider”) offers qualitative and mixed‑methods courses, methodological consultancy, and guidance throughout the research process. Courses are offered to researchers, lecturers, PhD candidates, students, and other interested participants (“Participants”).

These General Terms and Conditions apply exclusively to methodology courses offered by Provider. Other services may be subject to separate terms and conditions, which will be agreed in writing in advance.

2. Scope of Services
Courses may range in duration from several hours up to a maximum of two (2) days, depending on the subject. Courses may be delivered in‑company, online, or at an external location. Where courses are delivered at an external location, lunch is included unless explicitly agreed otherwise.

3. Registration, Fees and Payment
Registration is possible via the Provider’s website
www.methodologieenonderzoek.nl or by email s.roggeveen1@gmail.com.

Fees Agreed Separately
For courses or in‑company trainings, fees shall be agreed separately in writing between Provider and the Client. No fixed fees apply and the agreed written confirmation shall prevail.

Payment must be made by bank transfer within ten (10) days after the course date, unless agreed otherwise in writing. In the event of late payment, statutory (commercial) interest and reasonable collection costs may be charged. In case multiple persons from the same institute sign up for a course, 50% of the course fee should be paid in advance. This is non-refundable.

4. Cancellation by Participants
Participants may cancel their registration free of charge up to four (4) weeks prior to the scheduled course date. Cancellations made after this deadline are non‑refundable. Substitution by another participant is permitted, provided Provider is informed in advance.

5. No‑Show
If a Participant fails to attend a course without prior cancellation (“no‑show”), the full course fee remains payable and no refund will be granted.

6. Rescheduling or Cancellation by Provider
Provider reserves the right to reschedule or cancel a course due to illness, force majeure, or insufficient registrations. Where possible, an alternative date or replacement lecturer will be offered. If this is not possible, fees will be refunded. Provider is not liable for additional costs incurred by Participants.

7. Intellectual Property
All training materials remain the intellectual property of Provider or the respective lecturer. Materials may only be used for personal educational purposes and may not be reproduced or distributed without prior written consent.

8. Confidentiality and Data Protection (GDPR)
All confidential information disclosed during courses must be treated as such. Provider processes personal data in accordance with the GDPR and solely for course administration purposes. Participants have rights of access, correction, and deletion.

9. Participant Conduct
Provider maintains a respectful and professional learning environment. Discriminatory, transgressive or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated. Provider may remove Participants from a course without refund in case of misconduct.

10. Liability
Provider is only liable for direct damages resulting from wilful misconduct or gross negligence. Liability is limited to the course fee paid. Indirect or consequential damages are excluded.

11. Complaints
Complaints must be submitted in writing within fourteen (14) days after the course. Provider will address complaints in good faith but does not guarantee a specific outcome.

12. Certificates
A certificate of attendance may be issued upon request. Certificates are not externally accredited.

13. Amendments to the Terms and Conditions
Provider may amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The version applicable is the version in force at the time of registration.
