Focus groups

Focus groups can be a powerful way to collect rich qualitative data. By drawing on the interaction between participants, they can offer insights and perspectives that may not emerge from individual interviews. However, organizing and moderating a focus group effectively requires careful preparation and specific skills.

In this workshop, we will introduce you to the world of focus groups. When are focus groups an appropriate method for your research? How do you organize a focus group? And how can you, as a moderator, facilitate the discussion in a way that encourages meaningful interaction between participants?

These and other questions will be addressed through a combination of theory, practical guidance, and hands-on exercises. By the end of the workshop, you will have the knowledge and practical tools needed to plan, organize, and moderate a focus group with confidence.
